Marie Conlon is the creator of My PMDD Journey, a platform dedicated to raising awareness about Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) and empowering women to take control of their health. PMDD affects approximately 1.6% of women and girls worldwide—over 31 million individuals—yet it remains widely misunderstood and underdiagnosed due to gaps in medical education and diagnostic criteria.
Marie’s life was profoundly impacted by PMDD, a condition characterized by severe emotional, physical, and behavioral symptoms in the luteal phase of the menstrual cycle. For years, she faced medical gaslighting and dismissals, delaying proper care. In 2023, she underwent a hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy, a pivotal step in her journey toward healing and self-discovery.
Through My PMDD Journey, Marie shares practical strategies, advocacy tools, and honest conversations to help others feel seen, heard, and empowered. Her mission is to transform isolation into community and adversity into strength.
